Qingming Festival

2021-04-03

Unlike other festivals, Qingming Festival carries a more solemn and nostalgic emotion. On this day, people often reminisce about their relatives and elders, their past joys and regrets, and their longing for those who have passed away. At the same time, many people also visit graves to offer their condolences and respect. Every year, Qingming Festival falls in the season when trees are lush and flowers are blooming. Besides ancestor worship and tomb sweeping, various activities are also held during this time. Some people hold "sending love to loved ones" activities, where they release balloons with the names of their deceased family members into the sky to express their nostalgia. Others go on spring outings to appreciate the nature's spring atmosphere.
